Morocco tops junior championship

Morocco raised the trophy after the Arab men’s junior championship. According to the tournament report by IHF, Morocco clinched the title after a tight final victory over Kuwait.

Penalties were required to determine the gold and silver team in Casablanca. Morocco and Kuwait fought off all competitors, namely Algeria, Saudi Arabia and Tunisia before the final. The round robin-duel between the top nations saw Kuwait win buy 28–27. Morocco had a hard time to get revenge but succeded after extra time and the thrilling penalty session.

Besides the winning team, Qasim Al Turki from Saudi Arabia shone as MVP. Tunisia’s The MVP of Tunisia’s Iskandar Al-Juffali became the best goal scorer with 39 goals.
