List: Here are 5 of the best new signings in the Women’s Champions League

The 2024-25 Women’s Champions League is almost here. Are you ready for it? Below we have listed 5 of the best new signings ahead of the new season.

Here are the signings:

Daria Dmitrieva, to FTC from RK Krim

Dmitrieva has been a top player for several years but she is perhaps a bit forgotten since Russia is not taking part in international tournaments. But don’t be mistaken – the backcourt player is still one of the best in the game. And a big signing for an FTC team that continues to move closer to the top of European handball.

Line Haugsted, to Team Esbjerg from Györi

One of the best defenders in the world moves back home to Denmark and what a signing this is for new head coach Tomas Axnér. Haugsted has come back strong after her injury and will offer Esbjerg a whole lot. Top, top signing.

Johanna Bundsen, to HB Ludwigsburg from IK Sävehof

The Swede was perhaps the best goalkeeper of them all during the World Championship in December, and also during the Olympics this past summer. And here Ludwigsburg has secured a modern keeper who not only is great at keeping balls out of the net but also a great attacking keeper.

Kristina Jørgensen, to Györi from Metz

Jørgensen is one of the best players in Europe, but perhaps still a bit underrated. The left back / playmaker can do it all in the backcourt and the sense is that she has a lot left in the tank, considering she is only 26 years old. Here Györi have found themselves a player that they can build the team around for several years to come.

Anna Vyakhireva, to Brest Bretagne from Vipers Kristiansand

Is Anna Vyakhireva still the best player in the world? A lot of people seem to think so. And with the economic crisis in Vipers, Brest was quick to swoop in and secure themselves a world-class attacking player.
