Open letter to Hassan Moustafa: Let’s have a chat!

Dear Mr. Moustafa,

Ahead of the IHF elections, no outlet covered the story more extensively than we did. No one spoke to more stakeholders. No one published more in-depth reporting. And no one received more messages from readers asking for clarity, transparency, and insight into how our sport can become even better.

At GoHandball, we have tried to do our part. We have asked questions. We have sought comments. We have repeatedly requested interviews and responses from representatives of the IHF. So far, without success.

That is precisely why we are writing this open letter. Because there is a simple way to solve this: let’s talk.

As the sitting IHF President, you have a unique opportunity to address criticism, respond to open questions, and, just as importantly, share your vision for the years ahead. What is the roadmap? What are the priorities? How will handball grow stronger, fairer, and more transparent?

Handball deserves those answers. The fans deserve them. The athletes deserve them. The federations deserve them.

And to make it as easy as possible: we will come to you. Wherever you are. We’re happy to sit down face to face, turn on the recorder, and have an open, respectful conversation. No tricks. No ambush. Just journalism, and a genuine interest in the future of our sport.

The invitation is open.

Let’s give the handball community the transparency it is asking for.

Sincerely,
Ola Selby & The GoHandball Team
