Norway presents clear facts regarding Sander Sagosen with some disappointing news. The star player’s calf strain means he will miss the upcoming matches in the main round, according to handball.no.
Sagosen had to leave the court with one minute left of the successful match against Spain. Shortly after the 25–24-victory, team doctor Thomas Torgalsen commented on the injury, indicating a strain and several weeks of absence.
Something similar also applies after the detailed examination, although Norway seems to be keeping another hope alive.
Therefore, the 29-year-old remains in the squad without any new players being called up.
– It will probably take around four weeks before he is ready for full participation in handball, but Sander has surprised us in the past by coming back quickly. Regardless, he is absent for the rest of the matches in the main round, Torgalsen tells handball.no.
