CL: Füchse Berlin put pressure on Nantes

Füchse Berlin had a blast in the second half and ran away from HBC Nantes. Barca joined in with another top performance that left no chance for GOG while Wisla Plock played their part in a double win for the Polish teams by beating Pick Szeged 34–33.

Berlin saved 24 goals until after the break and became successful with new coach, Nicolej Krickau in charge. A constant high pace favoured Füchse and Mathias Gidsel homed in for the with ten goals.

Barca was determined to defeat GOG and 25–14 was equal to end all hopes for the Danish team. Emil Nielsen acted convincingly between the posts and the team of Antonio Carlos Ortega could make several changes and still be in full control to 37–32.

Melvyn Richardson was the evident match winner for Wisla Plock, twelve goals supported the guests despite all efforts from Pick Szeged. Mario Sostaric led Szeged efforts with nine goals but it was only close, reducing the deficit to 33-34 before Plock could manage a last attack with the seconds counting down fast.

Kielce succeeded in a knock-out to Kolstad and the goalkeepers Klemen Ferlin and Adam Morawski boosted each other to new heights. Aleks Vlah acted as a prominent playmaker and Kielce triumphed in front of 4 123 spectators in the home crowd, 38–27.
