Alexander Blonz suffered from blood clot

A knee injury stops Alexander Blond from taking part in the World Cup. His Danish club, GOG informs of another injury, a blood clot in the brain which means that the 24-year-old won’t play for the rest for the season.

Blonz´s rapid running on the left wing takes a necessary break while he recuperates after the recent events.

– I felt unwell at home, and when I got to the hospital, it turned out that I had a blood clot in my brain, which required urgent medical treatment. I actually ended up being hospitalized for ten days at OUH in Odense while everything was sorted out, but I received really good treatment, and I have nothing but praise for the staff, he says to the club webpage having resumed strength training after double operations.

– Of course, there was some uncertainty along the way until we found out exactly what was wrong. But the ultrasound scans showed that there is a hole in the heart, and fortunately that part is relatively uncomplicated, and it only requires a minor operation to get it fixed, Blonz continues.

Blonz has played for GOG since 2023 and has 94 caps for Norway.
