Györ doubled DKKA´s dividend

In a mid-week interlude between Champions League appearances Györi ETO KC ran away from Dunaújvárosi Kohász KA. Per Johansson brought five academy players to the squad, and the youngsters adapted with ease to the high-level goal production, 42–21.

Györ left quality players as Dionee Housheer and Hatadou Sako to recovery and rest. The new talents was supported by central characters in line with Linn Blohm who scored nine goals in the Tuesday triumph.

– It always feels good to play at home, but this match was also special because everyone had the last match against Békéscsaba in mind, and the fact that this cannot happen again. I’m proud of the team for showing, the last one was just a small blip, she said to the club webpage referring to the first half of last weeks game when Györ experienced a surprisingly even match-up in the first half.

The green giant became the first team to three victories in the domestic league and the performance even reached the standards of the coach.

– Between two Champions League matches, this was the best performance I’ve seen from my team since I’ve been here, said Per Johansson to the club website.
