Kiel suffered three straight defeats and one draw against Melsungen before their clash on Saturday evening. But thanks to dominante performances by Eric Johansson and Elias Ellefsen a Skipagøtu, Kiel are winners once again, beating Melsungen 31–29.
Kiel led by 17–12 at the break and even though Melsungen came closer in the second half, the two points were never in doubt for the home side.
Johansson had seven goals and two assists in the game, whilst playmaker Skipagøtu continued his fantastic start to the season by scoring eight and assisting to one.
