TBV Lemgo Lippe can now present its new goalkeeper for the 2026/27 season: Domenico Ebner will move to Lemgo next season from struggling league rival SC DHfK Leipzig. The Italian national team goalkeeper has signed a two-year contract with the Lippe-based Bundesliga club, running until June 30, 2028.
Now it’s confirmed: from summer 2026, the Freiburg-born keeper will lace up his shoes for Lemgo. After four years with Hannover-Burgdorf, Ebner moved to SC DHfK Leipzig in 2023, where he once again boasts strong numbers this season with 96 saves so far. He has also impressed on the international stage: at the 2025 World Championship, he saved 33% of all shots in six games for Italy, leading his team to an impressive 16th place finish. At TBV, Ebner aims to help shape the club’s successful path:
– TBV convinced me mainly through its consistency, especially regarding the squad. With Flo they have an outstanding coach who has built a lot together with the team. I’m joining a group that’s fun to play with and has a really good team spirit,” Ebner says in a statement by the club.
TBV managing director Jörg Zereike and head coach Florian Kehrmann are delighted to bring the Italian national to Lemgo.
– Domenico has proven at every step of his career how important a backbone he can be for his team and has delivered consistently strong performances for years. He’s an absolute team player, lives handball with every fiber, and will enrich us not only athletically but also personally,” Kehrmann and Zereike said in unison.
