Bundesliga: Magnússon showed out in new Magdeburg-win

During the Friday evening Omar Ingi Magnússon showed out with twelve goals in Magdeburg’s 31–27-win against Göppingen. Something that mean that Bennet Wiegert’s team will celebrate Christmas the top of the table.

Magdeburg keeps on impressing in the Bundesliga and in Friday night’s game against Göppingen the team secured their third straight win.

A big reason to the new victory was the Icelandic right back, Omar Ingi Magnússon, who scored twelve of Magdeburg’s 31 goals in front of the home crowd.

The win means that Magdeburg will stay at top in the Bundesliga when the league will be on a hold for the upcoming EHF Euros in Germany. This even though Füchse Berlin managed to roll past Lepizig with 37–28. A result that means that Jaron Siewert’s team is second, with the same points as Magdeburg.

Even though Omar Ingi Magnússon stood out with his impressive twelve goals, he wasn´t the best goalscorer of the Friday night.

Melsungen’s Ivan Martinovic managed to score an insane 15 (!) goals when Melsungen retained their fourth place with the win against Hannover-Burgdorf.
