Norway won Bronze in the Tokyo tournament. The top scorer, Nora Mørk and the coach Thorir Hergeirsson are among the returning parts in Norway´s bid for success in Paris 2024.
Norway has already arrived in France for preparation training and two nationals versus another olympic favourite – the home team. Denmark awaits in two games later in July before Norway comes to Paris.
Two experienced goalkeepers, Stine Bredal Oftedal in her final olympic medal run and three different options for the pivot position and central defense is included.
Hergeirsson has chosen Thale Rushfeldt Deila as player number 15 and reserve on site, but has the option to change his mind until the day before the premiere.
– It´s a strong squad and in selections like these we in i the coaching team are focused on the needs of the team. It´s a balance act. We keep all options open when the needs or conditions would change in the preparations, he says to the federation webpage.
