Thüringer HC triumph in European League

A high octane effort saw Thüringer HC succeed in European League. Ikast HB proved a worthy final opponent but THC was better in the end with Johanna Reichert as the leading star.

THC won an European title for the first time after a blazing, action-packed final in Graz. Dinah Eckerle made the most of her final appearance internationally and the attacks were charged with energy.

Reichert was the overall top scorer and not shy of responsbility in the final. The Austrian back court player produced 13 goals and was unstoppable in periods of the game.

THC had a good run to get closer to Ikast, 16-15 at the break after a four goal deficit a few minutes earlier.

Reichert also took part in the 24–25 where THC pushed ahead and ikast failed to find an equalising moment.

Despite Ingvild Bakkerud´s (eight goals) solid performance THC kept the upper hand until the deciding goal in the penultimate minute.

JDA Dijon secured the bronze medal with 32–27 against HSG Blomberg-Lippe.
