Quarter-final spots at stake in European League

Podravka Vegeta and Storhamar made swift moves to be included in the quarter-final pool. Costa Del Sol Malaga is a candidate to join the better half of the European League after a convincing 30–26 win over Romanian side Targu Jiu.

It was decision day in group A when Podravka Vegeta and Storhamar lived up to the expectations. Nykøbing Falster battled during a dramatic finish but Storhamar completed the nordic duel to 27–26 after a precise shot by Anniken Obaidli.

Croatia’s hope Podravka Vegeta managed to keep cool under pressure and gained advantage already in the beginning of the second half against Praktiker-Vac.

Dunarea Braila and Thüringer HC from group B joins the only undefeated team, Gloria-Bistrita for Romania as five teams well and truly in the quarter-finals.

Neptunes de Nantes has the upper hand on the second spot in group C, whereas group D sees Sola HK in first position two points ahead of Malaga and Mosonmagyarovar with one round to go.
