As European League reached the quarter-finals Storhamar HB found inspiration in a fast-paced-game and defeated Thüringer HC. The other Norwegian team, Sola HK trails four goals behind Neptunes de Nantes.
One step, the toughest so far remains until the teams can make a push for the title. Nantes seems confident to try a and comeback from last years crash in the corresponding stage.
The second half against Sola was a boost for the confidence and the home team used the skills from qualified internationals Kelly Vollebregt on the wing and Tamara Horacek in the back position to build up a four-goal-advantage.
Sola kept it just within range to strike back in the return game and Malin Holta scored a seasons best with ten precise shots to hit the net.
Storhamar took the flight back to Norway with an even better result and controlled Thüring in the 39–35-battle. Storhamar pulled away in the first half but THC reduced the deficit to two goals after 30 minutes.
It was nearly the same story took after the break, but with bigger margins as Storhamar reached 27–19 and the home team could improve their numbers to a four-goal-loss.
Anniken Obaidli shone for Storhamar with ten goals and Johanna Reichert scored nine times for THC.
