Györ bounced back – table number one once again

After losing the notoriously tough away game in Ferencvaros, Györi ETO KC returned to the winning path. The green giant defeated Alba Fehérvár KC 34–23 and made it back to the top spot if only for a day in the Hungarian League.

Coach Per Johansson could easily allow a changed line-up in the home premiere of 2025. The club webpage notes the presence of several academy players while some stars took a rest before the restart in Champions League.

Still, Kristina Jorgensen pushed for six goals and Estelle Nze Minko plus Kari Brattset Dale followed with five bringing experience in the undramatic triumph.

With eleven wins in twelve rounds, Györ is currently one point ahead of Ferencvaros, who face Vaci from the mid-region in their week game Wednesday evening.
