PRO HANDBALL USA announces that Füchse Berlin, HBC Nantes and Aalborg will all participate in their 2026 mega event, taking place in the summer of 2026.
PRO HANDBALL USA is an organization created to “Make handball big-time in the U.S.” In the summer of 2026 they will host a handball event taking place in an undisclosed location in the U.S.
Four top clubs on both the women’s and men’s side will participate. The statement made by PRO HANDBALL USA says it’s going to be a “star-packed action event, with the greatest club handball in the world, in one single venue over the course of 10 days”.
It was already announced that Györi Audi ETO KC, HB Ludwigsburg, Odense Haandbold and Best Bretagne Handball would be the four teams participating on the female side. Now three of the four men’s teams are set with Füchse Berlin, HBC Nantes and Aalborg joining. The final spot is still open for selection, PRO HANDBALL USA says they have several big-time candidates and expects it to be announced soon.
– The event will be a tournament where the four teams will play a group stage and then a final. We are also working with the U.S. national team that will play games against opponents that we can’t reveal yet. It will be three games a day, during a ten-day period, says CEO Mads H. Winther.
A lot about the event is still a mystery. Location, venue, and dates are yet to be revealed.
– We expect to announce it around the middle of June. We are really early with the event being in 2026. I can say the event will be in one venue in a great location in the U.S. says CEO Mads H. Winther.
