Danish dominance in Partille World Cup

The Danish tradition at the Partille World Cup remains strong. In this year’s Boys and Girls 18 categories, six out of eight semifinal teams are from Denmark. Two of them are GOG.

It took overtime against Önnered’s star-studded Boys 18 team, including Måns Fredriksson and Ola Peterson, but GOG 2 finally secured their place in the semifinals. There, they will face Brabrand IL.

The other GOG team, with six national team players, is also in the semifinals. They defeated Redbergslids IK in the quarterfinals, a team that also had an impressive tournament with two teams advancing to Saturday’s games.

In the Girls 18 category, there will also be Danish representation in the final as Oure and Skanderborg meet in the semifinal. The other semifinal will be played between the favorites, RK Krim Mercator and IK Sävehof. It’s a match filled with national team players, with no less than 11 players representing either Sweden or Slovenia.
