Wisla Plock triumphed in Polish top game

Wisla Plock ruled in the first ”Holy war” duel of the 2025/26 season. A quality performance from Torbjorn Bergerud between the posts and Gergo Fazekas spotless scoring ability laid the ground for 32–27 versus the main rivals.

Plock made it to seven wins in seven rounds and was in charge from a positive start and stable continuation.

Still, the game was tight for the first 20 minutes until Wisla gained momentum by not making as many mistakes. Bergerud rose to a high level and the double action of saving a penalty and converting the following attack with a long distance goal led to 14–18 on the board just as the whistle was heard for halftime.

Plock increased their lead but it wasn’t enough to close the game as Piotr Jaroszewicz and Daniel Dujshebaev found the net in rapid pace for Kielce.

The home team came close, 23–24 but lacked the energy to turn the game around. Besides Faxes who scored ten times, Blaz Janc (eight) and Melvyn Richardson (seven) made Plock unstoppable.

After their first loss, Kielce is three point behind the leader, Wybrzeze Gdansk who trails just the one point behind Plock has played one more game.
