Official: Janc moves to Plock – teammate follows

Mitja Janc has been rumored to move to Wisła Płock for some time now. The transfer has now become official. The young Slovenian has signed a four-year contract.
– I am very pleased and proud to join ORLEN Wisła Płock, says the 21-year-old on the club’s website.

Mitja Janc and Tim Cokan, the 23-year-old Slovenian right-winger, both leave RK Celje to play for the Polish giant Wisła Płock.

– They are a team with high ambitions, and I intend to help the team and the club achieve great results as best I can, says Janc.

During the 2023/2024 season, the young playmaker Janc scored 87 goals, ranking 9th among the top scorers in the Champions League.

– He will undoubtedly play a key role in the upcoming seasons. We want to build a strong team that will compete for the highest goals, and Mitja, with his offensive skills, is the perfect piece of this puzzle, commented Sports Director Adam Wiśniewski.

Tim Cokan, who scored 58 goals during the 2023/2024 Champions League season, has also joined the Polish league champions.

– I know that we will have a good, strong team that will compete for the highest goals in the ORLEN Superliga and the Champions League. I can’t wait to play here and hope to continue improving as a player. I think joining ORLEN Wisła Płock is a step up in my career, says Cokan.
