Kielce back on top in Polish cup

Industria Kielce won the 2025 cup version of the ”Holy war, 27–24 versus Wisla Plock. There was a four year wait for the players and supporters of the team to celebrate the sweet triumph.

Kielce pushed hard from the start to gain and Wisla Plock had to adjust defensively to try and shut down Igor Karacic. Still, the Croatian playmaker was able to distribute the ball to the wing players, give Kielce continuous momentum for 17–13 at half-time. 

The second half was more based on defensive qualities. Klemen Ferlin got the upper hand on Plock´s attacking options and Viktor Hallgrimsson made Plock regain confidence on their own half.

Plock came close but not near enough in the end. Dylan Nahi and Karacic (eight goals in total) secured the win and Kielce took over trophy after three straight final victories for Wisla Plock. 

All in all, Kielce is ahead 18–13 in the ongoing battle of cup titles.
