Norway star Nora Mørk has been taken out of the squad for Thursday’s match against Slovenia, as confirmed by the IHF’s website on Wednesday night.
The 33-year-old right back has been replaced by utility back court player Thale Rushfeldt Deila.
After a shock opening round loss to Sweden, Norway have found their rhythm at the Olympic tournament and currently sit in a three-way tie atop group A.
The reason for the replacement has not been disclosed yet but a medical reason is required for any switches.
Rushfeldt Deila is likely to occupy the right back position, alongside the versatile Stine Skogrand for the match on Thursday at 21:00 CEST. She was involved in the squad for the opening two matches of Paris 2024 before being replaced by the returning Henny Reistad.
