Final race on for future European events

On 14 December, during the Women’s Euro final weekend EHF will announce where the 2030 and 2032 tournaments will take place. A penultimate step meant that the number of bids has been reduced, according to eurohandball.com.

The men´s championships has three nordic hosts (Denmark/Norway/Sweden) in 2026 and spans over both south and central Europe (Portugal/Spain/Switzerland) two years later.

The 2030 edition will either continue in a multiple nation trend (Czechia/Poland/Denmark) or rely on Croatia’s organizational skill. If declined, Croatia has another bid for 2032 in contest with Germany and France.

The same year, Germany/Denmark/Poland, need only a formal assignation to arrange the Euro for women’s national teams. However, the Women’s EHF Euro 2030 has yet to find a proper location.

”The Executive Committee will propose to the EHF Congress that according to the statutes the EXEC shall be mandated to find an amended procedure to define a host or hosts for this championship”, writes eurohandball.com.
