The last half in the double header made all the difference between THW Kiel and Limoges HB. The ´zebra´ team made the most of their attacks and created some distance to the surprise-seeking opponent, 35–30.
Limoges managed a tied game one week ago. It was also tight when the guests got going in Wunderino Arena with powerful shots by Faruk Yusuf and quality input from Seif Elder.
Kiel was seemingly disturbed for the first 30 minutes but remained within striking distance and overcome the problems for 16–15 half-way.
The halftime discussions and rest acted as a bonus for the home team, in the second half Kiel was more cohesive in the offense with several threats to find the net.
Eric Johansson opted for breakthroughs, Bence Imre converted penalties and Domagoj Duvnjak was faultless at the time of execution.
Kiel powered through and managed to create a large enough gap to avoid tension towards the end.
