Nantes needed a win against Rhein-Neckar Löwen to bring points into the Main Round. And after at nine goal-display from Aymeric Minne the French team got victorious during the last round av the group phase.
Before Tuesday evening most of the places in the Main Round were already booked. Therefore most of the attention turned to France and Nantes, where the home team hosted Rhein-Neckar Löwen.
The game was about who would get the most point in to the next phase of the tournament. But Nantes – and Aymeric Minne – was not getting beat in this group final.
The France international was on a mission and put up a staggering nine goals, which lead Nantes to an impressive 32–25-victory against the germans, where the new arrival, Gustav Davidsson, accounted for six goals.
The victory mean that Nantes will bring two points to the Main Round, where they will face Hannover-Burgdorf, Zabrze and of course – Rhein-Neckar Löwen.
