Magnus Abelvik Rød had to exit Euro 2020 due to a broken foot. Now, a similar incident might occur again as the Norwegian star sustained an injury in yesterday’s match against the Faroe Islands. VG reports that Magnus will be examined at a hospital in Berlin later today.
– In the worst case, he may not be able to continue the championship. He has had a similar injury before. Then he was away for a good while, says national team doctor Thomas Torgalsen to VG.
Abelvik Rød has had issues with his back in the lead-up to the Euro, but he was able to participate in the opening match against Poland. In that game, the player scored five goals. However, it was in the match against the Faroe Islands that Abelvik Rød had to step off the field due to a foot injury.
