France and Sweden battled for 70 minutes in the first semi-final. France won the game 34–30, and are through to the 2024 Euros final.
France got a great start to the game and in 15 minutes they destroyed the Swedish team. The French stars delivered and they were better than Sweden in all phases of the game. Half-time score? 17–11 to France.
In the second half, it was Sweden’s game. They outplayed France just as much as France outplayed Sweden in the first half. Sweden even thought that they had won the game, but with the last shot in regulation, Elohim Prandi scored the equalizer which meant 27–27, and extra time awaited.
France was the better team during extra time and won the game 34–30. That means France is playing in the final on Sunday whilst Sweden has to play in the bronze final.
