Sagosen rumored to join Aalborg: “There will always be rumors”

After four years in Aalborg, Sander Sagosen left Denmark in 2017. Now, according to reports on social media, the Kolstad star is rumored to be on his way back.
– There will always be rumors, says the 29-year-old himself to Norwegian TV2 about the reports.

Kolstad’s major project is currently going through a tough period, both financially and sports-wise. Players have agreed to salary cuts, and key people within the organization have left. On the sports side, the team has not reached the level that was both the club’s and the team’s main figure, Sander Sagosen’s, ambition.

– We haven’t reached the level of ambition we set for ourselves. It’s clear we envisioned a different squad than the one we have today, says coach Stian Gomo Nilsen to TV2.

Now, the Norwegian national team star is rumored to be on his way back to Aalborg.

– I play for Kolstad, and that’s what I focus on. I enjoy being here and working on it, says Sagosen, and continues:

–It’s tough times, it’s difficult. But when we have an atmosphere like against Elverum, and when people support us, it’s fun to be a Kolstad player.

The club’s CEO, Jostein Sivertsen, tells TV2 that the club has not yet received any offers to buy out Sagosen, who is under contract with Kolstad until 2027.
