Nils Lichtlein face a backlash in the plans for summer training and preparation for next season. The back court profile of Füchse Berlin will take a break after an operation in the finger, according to club communication.
Lichtlein is normally seen in the vital role of playmaker for the top side. After an injury to the little finger of the right hand, the 22-year-old went through surgery on Monday.
The club statement describes a successful procedure but doesn’t indicate an exact date of Lichtlein´s return to club activities.
With the players on summer leave for three further weeks it seems likely that the surgery will not have ”any major impact given the current training break, and he, like his teammates, is keeping fit athletically”, Füchse Berlin writes on their website.
– I’m doing well after the surgery. Everything went well, and I thank Dr. Lehnert accordingly. I hope for a speedy recovery and that I can play again soon, says Lichtlein to the webpage.
