List: Here are 5 interesting signings in the Men’s Champions League

The 2024-25 season Men’s Champions League is almost here. But which new signings have the biggest clubs in Europe made ahead of the season? It’s time to list 5 interesting signings.

Here are 5 of the most interesting signings:

Viktor Hallgrimsson, to Wisla Plock from Nantes

The Icelandic big man has not exploded yet when it comes to his development into becoming one of the top keepers in the world. But everyone who has seen the 24-year-old play for Nantes in the Champions League before has without a doubt seen his quality when he plays at his best. Maybe a year in Poland before heading (?) to Barcelona is the right move for the still very promising Hallgrimsson.

Haukur Þrastarson, to Dinamo Bucuresti from Kielce

Speaking of promising. If not for injuries Þrastarson would have already been considered one of the best backcourt players in the world. But his bad luck with injuries has cost him a lot. Hopefully, for him, Bucuresti, and Iceland the 23-year-old can go a season without a severe injury. If he does that he will surely develop into a top player already this season.

Yahia Omar, to PSG from Veszprem

It was a bit surprising to a lot of people that Yahia Omar left Veszprem for PSG. Sure, PSG can pay a huge salary, but so can Veszprem. But the Egyptian seemed ready for a new adventure and in the French top club, his biggest challenge is helping PSG reach the Champions League final. Omar has the quality to be a key player for PSG this season, no doubt about that.

Nicolas Tournat, to Nantes from Kielce

Nantes has needed a top offensive pivot for a lot of years and now they have found him in Nicolas Tournat. He left Nantes 4 years ago to play for Kielce and no he returns to the club where he got his big breakthrough. Everyone knows that Tournat on his best days is unstoppable on the line, and that is what Nantes is banking on this season.

Felix Möller, to Aalborg from IK Sävehof

The second line player on this list but a very different one to Tournat. Möller is 8 years younger than Tournat, to start with. The 21-year-old balled out in the EHF European League last season and even got some playing time for Sweden during the Olympics, where he excelled. This is a player that seems destined for greatness and a player that could surprise a lot of people this season.
