Gidsel dominates Champions League scoring chart

Mathias Gidsel finished another outstanding season by claiming the EHF Champions League scoring title. The Füchse Berlin superstar scored 161 goals and finished comfortably ahead of the rest of the field.

There is little debate about who the best player in the world is right now, and Mathias Gidsel provided yet another reminder throughout the Champions League campaign.

The Danish star ended the season as the competition’s top scorer with 161 goals, finishing 25 goals ahead of Sporting CP playmaker Kiko Costa, who claimed second place with 136.

No other player managed to reach the 140-goal mark, highlighting just how dominant Gidsel was from start to finish.

Paris Saint-Germain’s Elohim Prandi finished third with 120 goals, while Champions League winner Aleix Gómez ended fourth on 117. GOG’s Frederik Bjerre rounded out the top five with 116 goals.

The Final Four teams were well represented among the leading scorers, with Thomas Arnoldsen, Lasse Andersson, and Gidsel all finishing inside the top ten.
