Aalborg Håndbold continues to show muscle in European Handball. Today the Danish powerhouse confirmed the signing of Juri Knorr in 2025.
– I am very happy and proud to have signed with a club like Aalborg Håndbold. A club with a great history, reigning Danish champions, and one of the main contenders for the Champions League title, says Juri Knorr in a press release by Aalborg.
The rumors regarding the 24-year-old’s future in Rhein-Neckar Löwen started last season and when Löwen finished at the 12th spot in the Bundesliga it became quite clear the Knorr needed a change.
Now Aalborg confirms the signing of one of the best players in Europe.
– As some people know we have a vision of becoming the greatest handball club in the world and winning the EHF Champions League. That’s why we aim to sign the best players and there is no doubt in my mind that Juri Knorr is a player that will be important for us, says Aalborg director Jan Larsen.
Leaving the Bundesliga to go play in the Danish league is not common for non-German players. But Knorr believes he has made the right choice.
– I have noticed that a lot of great players have moved to the Danish league over the past few years. The level of the league has gotten better, says Knorr.
