Confirmed: Casper Käll leaves Toulouse to join GOG

After several days of speculation, it’s now official: Swedish playmaker Casper Käll is leaving French side Fenix Toulouse to sign with the Danish powerhouse GOG. The 24-year-old has agreed to a one-year deal with the club.

Käll progressed through the ranks at Lugi HF and established himself in the Swedish Handbollsligan before making the move abroad in 2023. Over two seasons in Toulouse, he proved to be a reliable scorer and a key figure in their offensive play.

Earlier this week, reports surfaced that Käll was set for a move to GOG, with sources indicating he was due to undergo a medical exam on Tuesday. Now the transfer has been finalized.

– Casper is a classic playmaker who fits perfectly with our style of play. He can operate at a very high tempo while also acting as a strategist and leader in our offense. Finding a player who matches our system has been crucial, so this was a thorough and careful process. On top of that, Casper is technically very skilled and will add important details in front of our home crowd, said head coach Kasper Christensen.

– GOG has long been known for its fast-paced game and strong team culture, which immediately attracted me. I feel this is the right place for me to take the next step — both on and off the court. I’m really looking forward to meeting the team, the staff, and especially the passionate fans in Svendborg, said Käll.
