CL: Another triumph for Kiel

On the final night of group A, THW Kiel confirmed the first place racing away from RK Zagreb on home ground. Kolstad HB improved their international shape but stood no chance to advance.

Kiel won ten out of 14 games and had no contender for the top spot. Niclas Ekberg´s final group game after eleven seasons concluded with nine goals and many good opportunities from the right wing and seven metres.

Aalborg HB and  Industria Kielce battled until the final save from Sandro Mestric and 35–35. Mads Hoxer scored twelve times for the home team, while Alex Dujshebaev made eight goals for Kielce.

Despite the speedy action and play-off-feeling in the tied game, both teams would have reached the same positions, second and fourth with a winner and a loser on the score board.

Paris Saint-Germain remain and excellent home team. With the help of ten-goal-pivot Kamil Syprzak, who recently prolonged his contract until 2027, Pick Szeged was defeated by four goals.

Kolstad and Eurofarm Pelister both ended the CL adventure of 2024/25 Wednesday evening. Kolstad started the spring season good with a point away in Paris, after five straight losses 34–27 in front of the home crowd was just a decent wrap-up. Pelister goes back to the drawing board with zero points overall.
