Main Round approaching in W17 Euro

After two competition days, six teams has maximum points in the Women’s 17 Euro tournament. Among them reliable contenders as France and Hungary shine together with challengers as Slovakia.

The first championship performance for the 24 nations is well underway. As the group stage concludes on Saturday it will be a group final between Germany and Slovakia in group B, with both the involved parties already qualified for the Main round.

France has produced solid wins and Hungary dominated versus Serbia (39–22) followed by a convincing performance against Norway (35–28). Switzerland seems en route for continuing on the top half, Croatia is definitely there but the important question of how many points to bring on is on the table with Poland as the next opponent.

In group A, Spain and Denmark started with a tie which leads to a deciding game between Spain and Sweden on each side of the line dividing Main round qualifiers from Intermediate round contenders.

The host nation, Montenegro need two points versus Czechia to advance.
