Veszprem won last-minute drama: ”Proud of my team, which never gave up.”

With 20 minutes to Veszprem KC trailed by five goals to Pick Szeged. The duel became much closer towards the end, Veszprem equalized and got ahead with 32–31 in the end.

Pick Szeged experienced a glimmer of triumph as Sebastian Frimmel and Lazar Kukic were in charge of the scoring and 21–16 appeared on the board. Playing in front of over 7 000 spectators the ever-present tension between the domestic top clubs returned, Hugo Descat and Nedim Remili pushed back for Veszprem.

Descat sent the ball in the net for 31-30 to the guests, even if Pick Szeged had a quick reply there was still time to decide the game. Remili¨s strong duel capacity sealed the deal and Szeged failed to produce a good enough shot in the very last attack.

With two very important points, Veszprem unbeaten after seven games though still behind Pick Szeged who has played three more rounds.
