TBV Lemgo turn points into beer for fans

Handball fans in Lemgo may have just found the ultimate incentive to cheer loudly this season. TBV Lemgo Lippe have launched a quirky new initiative: for every point the team earns in the remainder of the Bundesliga season, supporters will be treated to 50 liters of beer (or soft drinks) after the final home game against SC DHfK Leipzig.

That’s right, every win or draw doesn’t just bring league success, it literally adds to the party. With close to 15 games still to play, Lemgo’s strong form so far means the total could easily climb to more than 1,000 liters for the supporters.

The campaign was dreamed up as a way to celebrate the special bond between the club, its partners and its supporters. According to reports, local sponsors want to give something back to the fans who have helped make Lemgo’s arena one of the most vibrant stops on the Bundesliga calendar.

How it works

Here’s the simple math:

Win = 100 liters of beer

Draw = 50 liters of beer

If Lemgo keeps up its solid pace and secure wins regularly in the coming weeks, that could mean plenty of cold ones waiting for fans later in the season.
