SG Flensburg-Handewitte recruits Patrick Volz: Lends him to SønderjyskE

SG Flensburg-Handewitt strengthens the team for the upcoming season with the left winger Patrick Volz and loans him out to Denmark as part of the collaboration. The new partnership between SG Flensburg-Handewitt and the Danish top-tier club SønderjyskE is taking shape. After the northern Germans announced the new talent development model in October, Patrick Volz is now the first professional player to join.

Within the framework of the collaboration between Flensburg and the Danish handball club SønderjyskE Håndbold, Patrick will play in the Danish league during the upcoming season and continue to gain playing time and experience. Patrick Volz has a contract with Flensburg until 2028.

– First of all, we are very pleased with the early agreement with Patrick. He has played well all season, and we see great potential in him. The talks with Patrick were very good and give us the confidence that we have signed a good player for the future, says the says Nicolej Krickau, coach in SG Flensburg-Handewitt, to the club´s website.

– It has long been a goal of mine to travel abroad as part of my career. I’m really happy that this is already working. I’m very excited to get to know a new league. Rasmus and Thomas have convinced me with their impressive vision of the club and I’m really looking forward to developing myself personally and also in terms of handball skills in Denmark before my time in Flensburg begins,” says Patrick Volz about his loan to Denmark.
