Nikola Roganovic injured – out for several weeks

VfL Gummersbach have suffered a significant injury setback, with Swedish backcourt player Nikola Roganovic expected to be out of action for five to six weeks after sustaining a stress fracture in his foot.

Roganovic has made an impressive start to the season in the German Bundesliga and is currently Gummersbach’s leading goalscorer. However, the 19-year-old will now be forced to take a break from competitive action.

The German club have confirmed that Roganovic has sustained a stress fracture in his foot, which is expected to keep him out for approximately five to six weeks.

The injury means he will miss several of Gummersbach’s upcoming Bundesliga matches, as well as Sweden’s opening EURO 2028 qualifiers against Greece and Luxembourg.
