Justus Fischer done deal for Kiel in 2027: ”Want to leave my comfort zone”

THW Kiel has secured the signature of a promising player with experience from the German national team. Justus Fischer takes his career to ”the zebras” and his second Bundeliga club starting in the summer of 2027.

Fischer has played professionally for three years and has grown with the tasks in TSV Hannover-Burgdorf. Kiel has further development plans in thought for the pivot.

– I want to leave my comfort zone to take a step forward personally. Kiel’s concept is strong, and I see myself fitting right into it. In Kiel, I have the opportunity to be part of a young team ushering in a new, successful era for this great club.

I’m also looking forward to playing alongside my national team colleagues like Julian, Andi, Rune, and ‘Zebu’ at the club level starting in 2027, he says to the club webpage.

Fischer was very much present in the silver team for Germany in the Olympics 2024 and became European vice-champion earlier this year.

– He’s the complete package; he’s a player for the future, both defensively and offensively, and he’s already proven his class under immense pressure. That’s why he’s rightly one of the most sought-after German national team players, says THW Kiel Managing Director Viktor Szilagyi to the club website.
