Füchse Berlin extended victory streak

GWD Minden caused a setback for TSV Hannover-Burgdorf and HSV Hamburg managed to stay ahead despite VfL Gummersbach´s final push. For Füchse Berlin and SC Magdeburg there was bit more room down to the opponents in the Sunday round.

Füchse Berlin left some points in September but looks like the usual solid contender with the national team break soon to come. A dominant Mathias Gidsel (13 goals) steered the capital team to a unthreatened win despite every effort from TVB Stuttgart and Kai Häfner (nine) to reduce the deficit to two-three goals.

SC Magdeburg left SC Leipzig behind with clever attacks with a lot of variation. Iceland ruled in the score sheet, Omar Ingi Magnusson and Gisli Thorgeir Kristjansson both found the net seven times.

The final ten minutes won the game for HSV Hamburg versus VfL Gummersbach. Moritz Sauter shone with nine goals for the home team, including two that kept Hamburg in control on the finishing stretch.

GWD Minden could celebrate the first victory at home in 2025/26. With 33-30, Minden took a leap from relegation risk, now three points ahead of second to last placed Bergischer HC.

Gidsel´s impressive performance brought him to the top among the goalscorers of the season, three goals (81-78) separate the creative back court player from Omar Ingi Magnusson with Häfner further three goals down on third place.
