Dortmund had the last word versus Thüringer HC

Two of the top teams from previous years, Thüringer HC and Borussia Dortmund faced off in an early duel. History repeated itself, the final outcome 29–30 was exactly the same result and winning team, Dortmund as in the last meeting.

In hindsight, Lisa Antl´s goal to 26–30 with five minutes to go decided the game Friday evening. THC wouldn’t give up, despite much excitement the home team couldn’t get closer than 29–30, Kathrin Pichlmeier´s penalty found the net with six seconds to go.

Dortmund laid the grounds for a well deserved win by scoring the first five goals and had productive players in Alice Langer (seven goals) and Dana Bleckmann (six). Good penalty execution was a prerequisite for THC to keep up and Johanna Reichert made no mistakes from seven meters where she made six of her nine goals.

Dortmund has three points after two rounds, one behind the reigning champion HB Ludwigsburg.
