Confirmed: Einarsson moves to competitors after the season

There has been speculation about Teitur Einarsson’s upcoming club address. Now it is clear that new adventures await in Gummersbach, where he will move after the season.
“I have a good feeling that very good things will happen here in the coming years,” he said on the club’s website.

Last week, Teitur Einarsson announced that he had heard of interest from clubs in Germany and Denmark.

Now it is clear that after the season he will move from his Flensburg to league rival Gummersbach. He joins in the summer and has signed a two-year contract with Gudjon Valur Sigurdsson’s team.

“I am very happy to come to Gummersbach and believe it will be the perfect next step in my career. I am really looking forward to playing for a good coach who I believe in and with such a talented team. I have a good feeling that very good things will happen here in the coming years,” said the Icelander on the club’s website.

Teitur Einarsson joined Flensburg-Handewitt in the fall of 2021 after being bought off from IFK Kristianstad during the current season.
