Henning Fritz is a living handball legend. Now it has been confirmed that he is making another comeback at 49-years of age in the Italian club SSV Bozen.
Henning Fritz made his professional debut back in 1988 in Magdeburg. After that he has represented both THW Kiel and Rhein-Neckar Löwen before retiring in 2012.
After his retirement Fritz made a short comeback in Flensburgs goal in 2021 and now it has been confirmed that he will be making another comeback – at the age of 49.
During the Tuesday the Italian club SSV Bozen announced that they are bringing in Henning Fritz on a short-term deal. This comes as an result of the absence of Christophoros Nungovitch, who will be representing the Democratic Republic of Congo in the Africa Cup of Nations between January 17th to January 27th.
During his earlier career Fritz has been part of the German teams that won the Euros in 2004 and the World Cup in 2007.
