HØJ Elite fired head coach Stian Tønnesen a few days ago. Now the ambitious Danish club have found his successor in Anders Thomsen, who till take on the role for the remainder of the season.
Anders Thomsen most recently served as head coach of the Ribe-Esbjerg men’s team, and according to Lars Vinther, CEO of HØJ Elite, he brings exactly the experience the players need at this moment:
“Anders has great expertise in taking on tasks that match the situation we are currently facing. He also took over at Ribe-Esbjerg in the middle of a season and did so successfully. In addition, Anders brings strong commitment, high energy, and a clarity that the players and staff need,” says Vinther.
Thomsen has been appointed as head coach of HØJ Elite until the end of the 2025–2026 season. His first task will take place on Wednesday, when HØJ face Skjern away from home.
At the same time, HØJ Elite announce that they have initiated the process of identifying a coaching setup for the upcoming season.
