List: Here are 5 of the best new signings in the women’s Danish league

The 2024-25 season of the women’s Danish league is just around the corner. Here we list 5 of the best new signings ahead of this season.

Here are the signings:

Line Haugsted, to Team Esbjerg from Györi

One of the best defenders in the world would be a great addition to any team. But the fact that Haugsted chose Team Esbjerg says a lot about the team, the players, and the huge upside of playing in Esbjerg. Haugsted will have an impact immediately when Esbjerg try to win the treble this season.

Louise Burgaard, to Odense from Metz

Another Danish player that has chosen to move back home after several great years abroad. Burgaard chose “the other” big Danish club in Odense, and not Esbjerg. A right back that knows how to score.

Kalidiatou Niakaté, to Nyköbing Falster from Buducnost

Niakité has had a couple of rough years since leaving France and Brest Bretagne back in 2022. Her stints in CSM Bucuresti and Buducnost were quite underwhelming but everyone knows her ability when she plays at her best. If the left back can find the rhythm again there is no doubt that NFH has struck gold with this addition to their team.

Lysa Tchaptchet, Odense, from Vipers Kristiansand

As seen on this picture there is no doubt that Tchaptchet is a physical player. Only 22 years of age but the Spanish pivot already has 3 seasons with Vipers under her belt. A gifted line player who will contribute in both directions for this Odense side.

Ida Marie Dahl, to Sønderjyske from CS Gloria

One of the more underrated signings ahead of this season. Sønderjyske is not one of the biggest clubs in Denmark but this signing speaks volume about their ambitions. Dahl was a top player for Viborg before leaving the club to try her luck in Romania last season. Now she is back in Denmark with a vengeance.
