Has Thomas Arnoldsen suffered a serious injury? The extent of the star’s injury is still unclear – but what is clear is that the centre back limped off during Aalborg’s Champions League win against Kielce. There is now nervousness both in Aalborg and within the Danish national team.
– I don’t know much more than anyone else, which is basically nothing. He banged his knee, and whatever else has happened, I have no idea. I obviously hope it’s not too serious, but we’ll have to wait and see, Aalborg head coach Simon Dahl told TV 2 Sport.
Thomas Arnoldsen had to be helped off the court after 42 minutes of Aalborg’s Champions League match against Kielce.
The Danish national team player landed awkwardly after a shot and immediately raised his arm. He then lay on the court in severe pain, holding his left knee. Shortly afterwards, he hobbled off on one leg, supported by both a teammate and a member of the physical staff.
It’s also tough news for Denmark ahead of the European Championship in January. The following backcourt players are already injured: Rasmus Lauge, Aaron Mensing, Jacob Holm, Marcus Midtgaard, Lasse Møller.
