From Stian Tönnesen to Anders Thomsen. But the new head coach did not get the dream start he had hoped for in his new role. Skjern won Tuesday’s match 27–23.
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Anders Thomsen would take over as head coach of HØJ Elite after Stian Tönnesen was dismissed a few days prior. However, it was not a dream debut for Thomsen at his new club.
Skjern, admittedly a very strong side, claimed a 27–23 victory on Tuesday. HØJ stayed in the game for long stretches, but in the end it looked as though confidence is still lacking.
Mixed results in other Tuesday matches
There was more action in the Danish Men’s League on Tuesday. GOG had to settle for a 30–30 draw against Ribe-Esbjerg after failing to convert their final possession into a winning goal.
Aalborg, meanwhile, did what they usually do – they won again. This time convincingly, 38–24 against Grindsted, thanks in large part to excellent goalkeeping from Fabian Norsten and clinical finishing from virtually the entire squad.
Mors-Thy also secured an away victory, defeating Nordsjælland 36–31, highlighted by Victor Norlyk’s remarkable 13 goals from 13 attempts.
