Nikola Roganovic chooses VfL Gummersbach and the Bundesliga as the next step in his promising career. The move to Germany from Swedish side HK Malmö as already rumoured a month ago is now confirmed by Gummersbach. Roganovic receives a three year-contract starting in the summer.
There have reportedly been several big clubs involved in the fight for Roganovic’s signature. Regardless, the competent back court player is content with the current season remaining in the Swedish ´Handbollsligan´ before his career continues internationally.
– I am very happy to come to VfL Gummersbach next season and play in front of these wonderful fans. I like the culture of this club and the atmosphere in the Schwalbe Arena. Because of that, I am really looking forward to playing in front of this crowd next year with my future teammates, he tells Gummersbach’s website.
Gummersbach coach, Icelandic icon Gudjon Valur Sigurdsson, appreciates the new acquisition for next season.
– Nikola is an incredible talent. “We are delighted that a player of his calibre has chosen us and are excited about our future together. He will fit perfectly into our team,” he told the club website.
