Marie Skurtveit Davidsen lets her goalkeeper qualities and experience benefit a new club. The 31-year-old returns to Bergen to play for Fana in the next season.
Davidsen had close connection with the Norwegian national team during the golden tournament of Euro 2022. On the cv, three seasons in CSM Bucharest is also noted after her first two years playing abroad for the German top side Thüringer HC.
– I am really looking forward to getting started and am really looking forward to playing in Fana. It is a professional program with clear frameworks and high quality in everyday life. I see a young and exciting team in development, and I hope I can contribute experience and confidence to the group, she says to the club website.
Davidsen left Bucharest for Molde HB with 2024/25, as an expectant mother she soon had to focus on things outside handball. Fana brings the goalkeeper back into action.
– This is a big day for us, we are getting one of the best goalkeepers in Norway. She will add a lot to us with her quality and experience from the highest level. In addition, the audience will experience an energetic goalkeeper who will create many good experiences in Fana Arena in the coming season, says the club director Vidar Gjesdal to Fana´s website.
