Days after winning the IHF Men’s Club World Championship, Emil Nielsen produced another standout performance. The Danish goalkeeper made 24 saves as Veszprém cruised past Partizan 37–26 in Belgrade to maintain their perfect start to the Champions League.
Nielsen needed just a few minutes to find his rhythm. He made seven saves in the opening part of the game, helping Veszprém establish control and build a four-goal lead.
By half-time, the Hungarian champions were five goals ahead. The gap continued to grow after the break and eventually reached 10 goals. Partizan struggled to find solutions against Nielsen, who finished with 24 saves as Veszprém secured their third consecutive Champions League victory.
The result means Veszprém have taken the maximum six points from their opening three games.
